Summary of Role

The Engineering Coordinator supports all engineering and hardware systems production areas. The Coordinator supports the entire engineering process, from design and material identification to ordering, receiving, testing, integrating, and delivering units produced. Integral to this position, the Coordinator will collaborate with other technical and managerial members, industry partners, and suppliers.

Essential Duties for the Engineering Coordinator

  • Engineering Support. Provide technical support to the engineering team. Tasks include (but are not limited to) design documentation, parts identification, parts ordering, receiving, inspection, integration, and testing of hardware items.
  • Logistics Coordination: Help coordinate and arrange locations, transportation, and equipment rentals.
  • Scheduling: Understand and work on project schedules, including daily and weekly updates.
  • Budget/Schedule Management: Support tracking expenses, managing purchase orders, and ensuring the project stays within budget and on schedule.
  • Documentation: Handle company or project paperwork and documentation, including technical and non-technical.
  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues during the engineering and production process.
  • Administrative: Assist with the production activities, schedules, and handle communication (phones, emails). Assist company leadership with research or organizational tasks as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Three years experience working in a technical development/manufacturing environment and/or in a product development environment.
  • Experience in an office/team environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with engineering software applications is a plus.
